First Weekend...

It was back in the company of old friends and familiar faces again, where I

1) Launched into MSN/phone/face-to-face conversation straight away without the need for cordial greetings or ice-breakers
2) Give the nearer bus stop a miss to walk down further just so there's more time to catch up
3) Are let off for skipping lunch/dinner without the need for wordy explanation or scrutiny
4) Feel safe enough to let my guard down, do away with the diplomacies and pour my heart out without holding back and worrying that I would be judged
5) Don't have to keep trying to fill those moments of silences- because even the silences, instead of being awkward and painful, relaxes and comforts

but old friends have been new once... you just dont feel like giving the new ones a chance cos it's too much of chore to sift out who's the ones to last through to old friends among the lot.

hahaha. i find it ironic that the person who says she cherishes old frens is the one that's been consecutively having lunch with her new frens. while the one who insists that new frens should be given a chance has been constantly arranging lunch dates with familiar frens. do we really practise what we preach?

'The person who's been havin lunch with new frens' has lunch with new frens cos its only an hr n she foresees she wont be able to tear away fr old frens n go back on time if she eats with old frens.
